Happy Engineer's Day

It's time to celebrate all the bright minds - the engineers this country has produced and continues to produce. ✅Every year on 15 September, Engineer’s Day is celebrated to honour the memories of Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, arguably the greatest engineer India has produced. The event marks the birth anniversary of the visionary engineer, who is particularly known for his pioneering work in irrigation techniques and flood control. ✅Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya (15 September 1860 – 14 April 1962), His birthday, 15 September, is celebrated as Engineer's Day in India. ➕He received India's highest honour, the Bharat Ratna, in 1955. ➕an honorary membership of London Institution of Civil Engineers ➕a fellowship from the Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore) ➕Board of Directors of Tata Steel ➕Designed and constructed automatic gates patented by him at Lake Fife Storage Reservoir. ✅Memorial at Muddenahalli Viswesvarayya National Memorial Trust manages a memorial for Visvesvaraya at his birthplace of Muddenahalli. The memorial exhibits his awards, titles and personal belongings, including his living room, spectacles, cups, books and block with which his visiting cards were printed. ⚡Everybody says Engineering is so easy that it is just like walking in a park.
